The conflict revealed in Act 1 is between Caesar’s desire for power and the nobles who want to keep him from getting this power. This can be seen in Act 1, scene 1, lines 73 through 76 where Flavius is telling Marullus "These growing feathers plucked from Caesar’s wing / Will make him fly an ordinary pitch." Also Flavius is concerned that Caesar will "keep us all in servile fearfulness." (line 76) Also, in scene 2, lines 79 through 81, Brutus reveals to Cassius that he fears Caesar may become king.
